“When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced.
Live your life in a manner so that when you die the world cries and you rejoice”

Funerals & Celebration

Funerals & Celebration #01Death is at the very heart of life. When someone we love dies we grieve for ourselves and mourn the loss of the one we love in our life. Nothing prepares us for death although it is one of the few certainties of life. Nothing can prepare us for something we really don’t want to face.

You may want to celebrate the life of the person who has passed away giving thanks for their lasting imprint on your life. There are no rules, you can celebrate exactly as you wish, celebrating anywhere you like, at a graveside, in a crematorium, in your home, in nature. You are only limited by your own imagination.

Ceremonies can be created from a wide variety of Spiritual Traditions, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Sufi, from the Native American Tradition. The ceremony can be Humanist, if you believe in people rather than a God, we can use poetry, prose music or silent presence.

I work closely with undertakers who will be happy to take care of the formal aspects of Burial or Cremation, offering Green and Eco Friendly Coffins and Woodland Burial Sites. You could also use your own Undertaker using me as celebrant, the funeral company would then include my fees in their costs and pay me.
